Probably the bubble wrap is a similar product, but any air that can travel between sheets will have a heat loss. Any crevices where bacteria can reside is also a problem for pools.

get some bubble wrap and packing peanuts i ship every day and this is my personal best opinion. crumpled papers are good for filler but dont support the object so make sure its wrapped in bubble first.
