it went to the neon boneyard as do most of the old signs from the strip and other areas of vegas. the neon boneyard is a sort of museum on las vegas blvd. just north of fremont st. fremont st. itself also has some of the old vegas signs from the 60's...
Try selling it on ebay. Lots of people can fix those signs, and you'll make a buck or two!
Look up companies that make/repair neon/lighted signs in your area. If it comes on for a second that should mean the neon tube itself is fine, sounds like a problem with the electronics.
